Research on Bearing Capacity of Secant Piled-Bucket Foundation in Saturated Clay

The secant piled-bucket foundation (SPBF) is innovatively proposed to suit the large-capacity mainstream, which optimized from a traditional and consists of an upper pile cap lower bucket skirt. Compared with foundation, SPBF has great advantages deserves further study. In this research, bearing mode, capacity failure mode under various loads in saturated clay have been fully studied. First, small-scale model test carried out verify finite element (FE) method; deviation between FE results vertical load horizontal–moment 10.65% 10.25%, respectively. Next, engineering scales investigated via method, indicating that similar prestressed tubular foundation. Finally, are studied findings show 96.53 MN 1.62 MN, weak parts concrete anchor bolts, This paper provides support for design optimization future.
